Maid Simple House Cleaning by Maid Brigade Offers Financial Incentives for Veterans

Residential Cleaning Franchise Becomes VetFran Proud Supporter

September 26, 2013 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA - Military veterans, active duty military, and military spouses interested in franchising can now take advantage of discounts offered by Maid Simple House Cleaning. The company is offering veterans and their families 15 percent off the initial franchise fee. Maid Simple is a new home-based franchise model created by the residential cleaning leader, Maid Brigade.

“We are committed to providing veterans with opportunities to re-enter the workforce as small business owners,” says Joel Lazarovitz, vice president of franchise recruitment for Maid Simple. “As thousands of Americans return home from war, we acknowledge the characteristics they have acquired during their military careers that make them outstanding franchisees – strong leadership skills, a dedication to quality and hard work, and the ability to excel at operational management.”

One out of every seven franchises in the United States is owned by a veteran, as found by a study conducted by the International Franchise Association (IFA). The franchise industry has committed to hiring and recruiting 80,000 veterans and military spouses as team members and franchise business owners through 2014, according to the IFA VetFran initiative. Maid Simple is a Proud Supporter of the VetFran program, which helps returning service members access franchise opportunities through training, financial assistance, and industry support.

“After my career in the military ended, I transitioned into franchising because the structure it provided was a great fit for me,” says Tai Jeffries, owner of Maid Simple of Fort Wayne, Ind. “As a former airman/soldier, I am skilled at following instructions and completing tasks. By following my franchise procedures, I know I will be successful.”

Available for $29,500 including the $10,000 franchise fee, Maid Simple provides qualified veterans with a complete franchise package that includes a customer acquisition program, national sales center that handles customer scheduling, billing and payment processing, and ongoing training and marketing support. USA Today ranks Maid Brigade a Top 50 Franchise Opportunity for Veterans.
