Costa Rica's Largest City Welcomes First Johnny Rockets Restaurant
The All-American Hamburger Chain Opens at Lincoln Plaza in San Jose
ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Sept. 27, 2013 // PRNewswire // - Local franchise owner Maria Eugenia Handal Canahuati expands the Johnny Rockets international footprint by opening the brand's first restaurant in Costa Rica at Lincoln Plaza, an upscale shopping, dining and entertainment hub located on the northeastern side of the city's capital, San Jose.
An international restaurant chain that offers the food, fun and friendliness of timeless, feel-good Americana, Johnny Rockets restaurants serve a variety of traditional favorites that include hamburgers, American Fries served with a ketchup smiley face, classic sandwiches and hand-spun shakes and malts. With its upbeat music, friendly service and dancing servers, it provides an engaging, interactive dining experience that will appeal to both local residents and area visitors.
"Lincoln Plaza was the perfect site for our first restaurant in Costa Rica because of its focus on families and fun," said Handal Canahuati, owner of Desarrollos Gastronomicos Internacionales Corporation.
"Children and their parents can grab a delicious bite to eat with us before or after shopping, seeing a movie at The CCM Cinemas, testing their skills at RIFT Laser Tag, or playing at the kids' zone on the third floor of the mall. We add an extra layer of fun to an already enjoyable day!"
As the nation's capital and largest city that brings in more than a million people daily, San Jose was ranked #5 in The MasterCard Global Destinations Cities Index 2013's "Latin America Top 10 Destination Cities by International Overnight Visitors" list and is expected to receive 1.4 million visitor arrivals this year.
"Costa Rica is a beautiful, vibrant and biodiverse country that welcomes tourists and embraces the American culture," added John Fuller, President and CEO of Johnny Rockets. "Having a presence in San Jose, the nation's economic hub, is critical as we continue our ongoing development in Central America."
Located on the street level of the second floor at Lincoln Plaza, near the main entrance, the 1,990-square-foot Johnny Rockets seats 85 Guests. It is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
