Lucrative Family Farm Market, Deli Hits the Market

United Country – Tom Mullen & Associates Conducting Online, Live Auction

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (PRWEB) September 30, 2013 - A piece of a community’s history is now being offered to the public. An established family farm market and deli in Arkport, N.Y., will be auctioned on Sunday, Nov 10 to the highest bidder. The property is currently available for bidding via online auction, which runs through Saturday, Nov. 9 at noon ET. Both auctions will offer the business by itself and with approximately 68 acres featuring high organic soils.

This farm market and deli business on roughly 7.5 acres is located on a major north-south highway leading to the western Finger Lakes. It has been in continuous operation for 42 years in the Pennsylvania Dutch tradition creating a loyal customer base that appreciates high-quality vegetables, fruits, baked goods, deli foods, ice cream and bulk packaged specialty herb, spices, flour and sundry items. In the past, the business has enjoyed gross sales of $1.5 million annually with a strong net operating income. Books opened to financially qualified buyers.

"This auction provides an excellent opportunity to buy a business and farmland with excellent income potential," Said Tom Mullen, broker with United Country – Tom Mullen & Associates, LLC, of Waverly, N.Y. "This family took great care to create a great farming and commercial operation over the years, but relocation and other business interests prompted this sale. When one door closes, another opens. Don’t let this unique opportunity close before it’s too late."

Business assets include the 4,000-square-foot farm market with deli, bakery and weekend barbecue. There are four attached tunnel greenhouses for flowers and bedding plants, a 8,000-square-foot warehouse, packing house, large cooler room, three 30x96 high-bay irrigated greenhouses, large equipment repair shop and office, machinery shed, 14x70 mobile home and a two-story home with attached garage. This event also includes a full line of deli, bakery, and market equipment and fixtures. Inventory will be settled at wholesale at closing.

The property will also be offered with an additional 68 acres featuring about 60 acres of muckland soils, a second double family home, and a full-line of well-maintained planting, harvesting and irrigation equipment.

The November 10 auction will be held at 11 a.m. on-site at 8637 Route 36 in Arkport. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. In addition to on-site bidding, buyers also have the option of live internet bidding, which runs now through Saturday, Nov. 9 at noon ET. Seller reserves the right to accept offers prior to the live auction.
