Country Inns & Suites By CarlsonSM Expands Portfolio with Opening of Hotel in Wichita

Wichita | October 1, 2013 - Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, a leading upper-midscale brand, today announced the opening of Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Wichita Northeast, Kan. This opening aligns with Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group’s aggressive growth plans for the brand as part of its Ambition 2015 strategy.

“The addition of the fourth Country Inns & Suites in Kansas intensifies our foothold in the market,” said Scott Meyer, senior vice president, Midscale Brands, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Americas. “The continued growth in this region is another step forward in our plan to expand the brand primarily in the U.S., Canada, India and Mexico.”

The hotel features 69 guest rooms and suites, a well-equipped fitness center, an indoor heated pool, and business center. Country Inns & Suites offers complimentary amenities including high-speed Internet access and hot, breakfast served on classic dining ware daily.

The hotel is located off of state highway K-96 and is minutes from Wichita State University, Koch Industries, Raytheon, Boeing, Lear, Kansas Heart Hospital, Century II Convention Center and Intrust Bank Arena and downtown Wichita.
