Rob Lauber Named Chief Learning Officer of the Year by Chief Learning Officer Magazine
Multiple Honors Reflect Yum! Brands’ Learning Culture
October 08, 2013 // Franchising.com // LOUISVILLE, Kentucky - Yum! Brands, Inc. (NYSE: YUM) received several prestigious awards recently, recognizing the Company’s emphasis on education.
Rob Lauber, Vice President, Yum! University, was named Chief Learning Officer (CLO) of the Year by Chief Learning Officer magazine. Lauber also earned a Bronze Global Learning Award for his leadership in Yum!’s "Taking People With You" training. The awards were announced at this year's Chief Learning Officer Symposium in Palm Springs, Calif.

Lauber was selected from more than 200 learning executives and solution providers, who were nominated by their peers in 15 categories. As CLO of the Year, Lauber was recognized for transforming innovation into learning and organizational value for Yum! Brands. Focused on enabling learning in culture as well as functional and leadership excellence, he created a strategy for developing a one-system approach to learning. Lauber’s method has enabled the company to target exceptional talent and capitalize on emerging business opportunities.

Lauber will be featured in a special report supplement to Chief Learning Officer magazine’s December issue.
In addition to this recognition, Yum! Brands received a gold medal in the Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Learning Awards for the Company's course in Effective Investigations. Pizza Hut was also honored with a silver medal in the Best Use of Learning category. The Brandon Hall Group awards were among the first to honor excellence in the commercial education industry.
Yum! Brands was also named to eLearning magazine’s "Learning 100." This distinction is awarded to those companies which honor high performance, organizational culture, innovation and collaboration.
