Home Care Assistance of San Antonio Participates in the 4th Annual Girls Night Out Event Benefiting Susan G. Komen

Benefiting the organization Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Girls Night Out event will be held this Thursday, October 10th, from 6pm-10pm at The Village of Stone Oak Shopping Center.

San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) October 09, 2013 - Home Care Assistance, North America’s leading provider of in-home care for seniors, is dedicated to partnering with other community members in an effort to increase awareness around healthy longevity and aging. In line with this commitment to community education, Home Care Assistance will be hosting a table at the 4th Annual Girls Night Out event benefitting Susan G. Komen for the Cure in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event will be held this Thursday, October 10th, from 6pm-10pm at the Village of Stone Oak Shopping Center. The in-home care company will be educating attendees on topics related aging, wellness and longevity.

“As part of our mission to change the way the world ages and commitment to raising awareness around breast cancer, we are excited to be involved in an event that raises money for such a great cause,” said Jack Marrow, Director of Operations at Home Care Assistance of San Antonio. “At Home Care Assistance health and longevity are central to our care model, which is based largely on our Balanced Care Method.”

With an expertise in holistic care, Home Care Assistance educates its caregivers and the seniors they serve on maintaining a healthy mind, body and spirit with age through its proprietary approach to care, the Balanced Care Method™. The Method is based on scientific studies of lifestyle factors linked to longevity including healthy diet, physical activity, social ties and calmness and purpose.

Home Care Assistance is committed to community education on the topic of aging, wellness and quality of life. In keeping with this focus, a copy of Happy to 102, a book from Home Care Assistance’s award-winning senior wellness series, will be gifted to those who attend the panel discussion. Happy to 102 details behaviors that have been linked to the delay or prevention of Alzheimer's and other chronic diseases, long lifespans and overall quality health into senior years. With an emphasis on aging in place with in-home care, Happy to 102 unlocks the secrets to longevity and inspires us to live happier, healthier lives at every age.
