2013 National Buffalo Wing "Festival Favorite" Celebrates with Six Wings for Six Days

SHARON, Pa. - Oct. 11, 2013 // PRNewswire // - The Award-Winning casual-dining franchise Quaker Steak & Lube® known for its Best Wings USA and more than 25 sauces, announced today it will be sharing its award-winning chicken wings with the residents of Buffalo, N.Y. The Buffalo Lube will be celebrating its recent win at the National Buffalo Wing Festival, the chicken industry's most prestigious award, by handing out a FREE six-pack (Sprintster) of fresh, never frozen, jumbo wings on Oct. 20 – 25 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Buffalo Lube is located at 6727 Transit Road, Lancaster, near Main Street.

One six-pack per guest will be served in The Lube®'s famous egg crate with celery and blue cheese, and guests can choose one sauce from over 25 award-winning varieties including Louisiana Lickers®, Arizona Ranch, Golden Garlic or Boom Boom. Daring Lubies can sign a release form and try the Atomic or Triple Atomic! No other purchase is necessary, and FREE wings can be enjoyed for dine-in only at the restaurant.

Quaker Steak & Lube® was recently crowned Festival Favorite, a coveted honor voted on by Buffalo Chicken Wing fans, at the 2013 National Buffalo Wing Festival, for the third time. The National Buffalo Wing Festival is a two-day event that takes place annually during Labor Day weekend at the Coca-Cola Field in Buffalo, N.Y.; this year it took place on Saturday, Aug. 31 and Sunday, Sept.1. Each year at the National Buffalo Wing Festival, The Lube® enters its sauces into three of the seven allotted categories. A panel of judges then decides which restaurants have the best sauce based on a blind taste test. This year, The Lube® also took home first place for its Triple Atomic wing sauce in the Traditional Extra-Hot sauce category.
