October 8, 2013 - LAS VEGAS – Garth McDonald was ready to make a change and find a career that was more rewarding than the path he was on. A friend of his had worked with an ActionCOACH and felt McDonald was a great fit and after looking closely at the company, McDonald agreed the fit was ideal and decided to become an ActionCOACH Business Coach himself.
"Before becoming an ActionCOACH, I didn’t feel my contributions were appreciated. I didn’t feel part of a team or group that I belonged to and worked with," McDonald said. "Everyone in the ActionCOACH system cares about the businesses they work with and we certainly do everything we can to make sure our clients succeed."
ActionCOACH is the world’s leader in business and executive coaching. When Brad Sugars, Chairman and Founder of ActionCOACH, started the company in 1993, the concept of business coaching was still in its infancy. By franchising the company in 1997, Sugars helped business coaching become more mainstream turning it into the second fastest growing category behind Information Technology. ActionCOACH specializes in coaching small to medium sized businesses as well as executive teams and group coaching. For talented people like McDonald, becoming an ActionCOACH Business Coach combines their desire to help their local economy with their desire to own their own business.
"Over the course of my career I have seen many of the issues that business owners face, like how to build a great team, how to generate more profits and cashflow and achieve more balance to enjoy their life. That knowledge, along with my training as an ActionCOACH means I will be able to help businesses throughout my area grow and succeed."
McDonald is a franchise owner, based out of Spruce Grove, Alberta, and working with businesses in and around Stony Plain and St. Albert as well as Spruce Grove. He began his journey as an ActionCOACH Business Coach in Las Vegas, Nevada where the ActionCOACH Global Office is located. Here he spent 10 days training with other new firm owners and business coaches from around the world. They learned the ins and outs of ActionCOACH, how to run a business the ActionCOACH way, branding, systems and techniques, as well as how to apply their knowledge to any business and much more.
When he’s not coaching businesses, McDonald teaches Sunday School and is a volunteer with Little Bits Therapeutic Riding Association for disable children and adults. He is also a member of the Spruce Grove Chamber of Commerce.
ActionCOACH is the world’s number one business coaching and executive coaching firm, with more than 1,000 offices in 50 countries, coaching more than 15,000 businesses every week. To learn more, go to actioncoach.com.
