Fresh Healthy Vending International, Inc. Appoints Baseball Veteran Steve Finley to Board of Directors

Record-setting major leaguer joins the board of leading healthy vending brand.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 15, 2013 - Fresh Healthy Vending International, Inc. (OTC Markets: VEND), the nation’s largest healthy vending machine company, recently welcomed Steve Finley, former Major League Baseball player with an impressive professional career spanning 19 years, to its board of directors.

As an outfielder for eight Major League teams, including the San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks, with whom he won the World Series in 2001, Finley is an acknowledged active proponent of good nutrition for athletes and youth.

Finley, who resides in San Diego, credits his extended baseball career to working alongside a nutritionist, who instilled in him the importance of a healthy diet. At 41 years old in 2006, Finley became the oldest player ever to play more than 100 games in center-field and, to this day, still follows the strict nutrition guidelines set forth by his nutritionist.

Finley hopes to use the new position on the board as a platform for promoting balanced nutrition and combating childhood obesity.
