October 16, 2013 // Franchising.com // Ewing, NJ - DBR Franchising, LLC, a leading home inspection franchise company known as HouseMaster, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathleen Kuhn as President.
As daughter of Ken Austin, the originating founder of HouseMaster in 1979, Kuhn has more than 25 years of prior HouseMaster service. Effective October 15, 2013, she returns to function as the Company's President. Prior to this appointment, Kuhn (CFE) was with Michael Ryan Consulting, assisting entrepreneurs in the assessment, development and improvement of franchise business solutions.
As the Company's President, Kuhn will direct all core facets of the business - including franchise support, franchise sales, franchise fulfillment, network enhancement, strategic development, and much more. She will also serve on the Board of Manager Representatives, working in harmony with and reporting directly to Company owners.
"I'm excited to return to HouseMaster and feel honored to once again lead such a powerful brand and talented organization,” said Kuhn. "Although I am committed to help HouseMaster become the undeniable leader in home inspection services, quite honestly I am most excited to reconnect with its franchisees, some being a big part of HouseMaster for almost 30 years. And I most certainly plan to steal a few pages from my father's playbook to re-instill the leadership and passion that this brand deserves."
Randy Larsen - the majority owner of DBR- recently organized DBR's Board of Manager Representatives. He invited Kathleen to serve on the Board to ensure on-going influence and interaction with Company owners. Larsen has been a franchisee and franchisor of multiple organizations, with significant successes in a variety of business ventures. He is a proven and well-recognized business leader.
"I am thrilled that Kathleen agreed to return to HouseMaster and play such a vital role,” said Larsen. "I doubt there is another person in the Country with more experience and passion for the HouseMaster brand and can't wait to see what Kathleen and our team can do together. It is a bit ironic that by returning HouseMaster to its original roots, the boldest and most exciting chapter in HouseMaster's history is about to begin.”
Founded in 1979, HouseMaster remains one of the premier home inspection service companies in the U.S. It has expanded its services into commercial inspections and is integrating additional home services to its portfolio.
