Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt® to Open Store in Lutz, Florida

Gourmet Chicago-Based Frozen Yogurt Franchise to Open First Florida Location November 6

November 06, 2013 // Franchising.com // Tampa Bay, Fla. - Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt®, a unique, self-serve gourmet frozen yogurt store that provides irresistible taste in thousands of sweet combinations, will open its doors on Wednesday, Nov. 6. The Lutz location at 17691 N. Dale Mabry Hwy at Van Dyke Commons will be the first of what is expected to be a number of franchise stores opening in the state. The Lutz location will be a veteran family-run franchise managed by locals, the Cintron family.

The grand opening celebration will be held three days later on Saturday, Nov. 9. From 11:30 a.m to 1:30pm, the first 30 customers to enter the store will receive one free eight-ounce cup of Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt with toppings. To the first 40 retired military and veterans to enter the store throughout the day will receive one free cup of frozen yogurt. Must show proof of service to our country. In addition, WILD 94.1 will be on site that day from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and will be giving away a number of prizes, including free Yumz for a Year and tickets to local football games.

For Veterans Day on Nov. 11, Yumz Gourmet Frozen Yogurt will offer all veterans and their families 20 percent off their purchase. Must show proper I.D. or forms.

Angel (Hank) Cintron and his family have lived in Tampa since 1995. Cintron built his current company MSGI Corporation from the ground up, starting with just three employees. Cintron is a retired Veteran and is a recipient of the U.S. Army’s Bronze Star for his service to his country during the first Persian Gulf War. He has provided his services to joint medical facilities in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2003. His military education includes Contract Management Army Acquisition Level One, Medical Logistics Course and Command and General Staff College. In addition, his company has sponsored the family of a wounded military warrior for three years.
