DQ® Treat Store Opens in Destin

The Dairy Queen® system brings newest treat concept to the city.

DESTIN, Fla. - Oct. 31, 2013 -The Dairy Queen® system always has been about sharing smiles and stories. Now the treat category leader and one of the leaders in quick-service restaurants has opened its newest, most exciting treat concept, a DQ® Treat store in Miramar Beach in Destin. The location offers all of the amazing Dairy Queen soft-serve treats and cakes as well as Orange Julius® products, including an array of fruit beverages and smoothies. In addition, the store also will serve Iron Grilled Sandwiches featuring deli-style turkey with Swiss cheese; a Classic Club with deli-style turkey, ham and cheddar cheese; Chili Cheese Hot Dogs and Mega Dogs, and more. Located at 1688 Scenic Gulf Drive (called Old 98) in Miramar Beach in Destin, the restaurant employs a staff of 20.

The DQ Treat store in Miramar Beach features DQ favorites, such as the iconic Blizzard® Treats, MooLatté® frozen coffee flavored beverages, DQ Cakes and a wide variety of other soft-serve items, as well as the full line of Orange Julius Premium Fruit Smoothies and fruit-blended beverages.

Fans can choose from a variety of fruit-blended beverages including delicious Orange Julius Premium Fruit Smoothies and now Orange Julius Light Smoothies. All Orange Julius Premium Fruit Smoothies, Light Smoothies and Julius® Original drinks are available in eight flavors including Orange, Strawberry, Strawberry Banana, Tripleberry®, Mango Pineapple, Berry Pomegranate, OrangeBerry and Piña Colada, and protein or banana boosts can be added. The Orange Julius Premium Fruit Smoothies are made fresh to order with real fruit blended with low-fat yogurt. The Orange Julius Light Smoothies are 170 calories or less in a small size, contain no artificial sweeteners or flavors and are yogurt-free.
