Right at Home’s International Expansion Hits an All-Time High

In-home senior care brand now has offices in the U.K., Brazil, China, Canada and Ireland.

Omaha, NE (PRWEB) November 19, 2013 - Right at Home now has more than 300 locations on four continents. After successfully reaching the $1 billion sales mark in the U.S., representing more than 50 million hours of care to more than 75,000 seniors, the homecare franchise has seen tremendous success in the U.K., Brazil, China, Canada and Ireland during the first half of 2013.

The universal need for in-home senior care around the world has led to its impressive global expansion. The U.N. predicts that by 2050, the number of elderly people in the world will exceed the number of young for the first time in history. Estimates also show that by that time there will be more than two billion people age 60 or older. Additionally, people aren't just growing older; they are living longer due to an increased commitment to health and wellness, as well as the advancement of medicine.

"The growth we’ve seen in the first half of the year is a huge indicator of the success we forecast as we continue to expand," said Right at Home CEO and founder Allen Hager. "The need for our services abroad, coupled with the exceptional experience and skill sets of our master franchisees in these countries ensure that Right at Home will soon be able to serve more and more of the world’s aging population. The only place for us to go is up."

In the U.K., master franchisee Ken Deary is approaching 20 franchise offices, which has resulted in the employment of roughly 450 people. Since the brand crossed the pond, employees have provided approximately 150,000 hours of care to 600 members of the U.K.’s elderly population. In neighboring Ireland, David McKone is spearheading the brand’s expansion. He currently employs 35 people, and that number is expected to double within the next 18 months, as there are more than 535,000 seniors living in Ireland at this time.

Right at Home has also been successful with its growth in both Brazil and China. Brazil’s expansion is spearheaded by Eduardo Chvaicer, whose 77 caregivers have provided 90,000 hours. In China, master franchisee Yao Li operates two master offices and has four franchise offices, with six pending to open over the next year. Her goal is to grow the business to 100 additional offices within the next five years.

At the forefront of Right at Home’s development in Canada is Michael Martino, who operates one master office and hopes to add eight to 10 area franchises and 120 units, with an initial focus on Ontario.

Contributing to Right at Home’s presence in the U.K., Brazil, China, Canada and Ireland, the brand is prepared to add another two to three countries and 25 to 50 units to its growing portfolio in the next year, with plans to provide nearly 1,000 jobs in its international markets.
