DoubleTree by Hilton Debuts New $14M Beachfront Development in Bemidji, Minnesota

November 22, 2013 // Franchising.com // BEMIDJI, Minn. - DoubleTree by Hilton today announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Bemidji along the scenic waterfront of Lake Bemidji following a 15 month, $14 million investment. The newly-constructed hotel adjoins the existing Hampton Inn & Suites Bemidji, a sister brand within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio, and offers premium amenities that poise the hotel to become the area's leading upscale, full-service destination for everything from romantic getaways and family vacations to business trips and social gatherings. The hotel is owned by SCGM, LLC and managed by Rich Siegert and associates.

DoubleTree by Hilton Bemidji debuts a contemporary design throughout the property's 92 guest rooms and public areas. A cozy fireplace serves as the focal point in the hotel's warm and inviting lobby, and guests will enjoy breathtaking views all around the property, including private balconies in more than half of the rooms that overlook majestic Lake Bemidji. A shared event facility with the adjoining Hampton Inn & Suites creates more than 5,000 square feet of flexible meeting space to accommodate varying types of conferences, business and social events, and the hotel's lakeside locale lends to the perfect setting for outdoor events overlooking the beach and waters of Lake Bemidji.

Offerings access to 700 feet of private sandy beach, hotel guests can take part in endless outdoor activities, from hiking, biking and fishing to swimming and other water activities - including canoe and kayak rentals available through the hotel. A dock on the property offers convenient public boat access and lakeside fire pits create a cozy ambience for relaxing along the beach.

The hotel's on-site Green Mill Restaurant, open for lunch and dinner, will satisfy every palate with a delectable menu that ranges from its award-winning specialty pizzas to classic American dishes with gourmet twists.

Located just five miles from Bemidji-Beltrami Regional Airport and convenient to nearby businesses and recreational attractions, DoubleTree by Hilton Bemidji is also the perfect launch to the area's key destinations, including The Sanford Regional Event Center, the Paul Bunyan Trail, Itasca State Park, and the Bemidji Town & Country Club.
