Lee's Sandwiches International, Inc. Raising Funds for Typhoon Haiyan Victims in the Philippines

The world's largest Banh Mì chain to donate 100% of its proceeds from November 20th to December 28th

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 22, 2013 // PRNewswire // - Lee's Sandwiches International, Inc., The World's Largest Banh Mi Chain, announced that it will raise funds in all of its participated locations to assist victims of Typhoon Haiyan, which affected more than 11.3 million Philippines residents.

Of those affected, over 673,000 were left homeless when Typhoon Haiyan, one of the most powerful typhoons in history, struck the islands of the Philippines on November 8th. Survivors are now confronting many problems including lack of clean water, food, warm shelter, and clothes.

Many organizations and countries are launching urgent plans to help the Philippines in rebuilding the country. Joining the effort, Lee's Sandwiches will contribute 100% of its proceeds from November 20th to December 28th. In addition, Lee's Sandwiches will match up to $30,000 in donations. All in-store collections and corporate donations will be distributed directly to the American Red Cross, an international non-profit organization, to assist many victims with water, food, clothes, and equipment.

Lee's Sandwiches has been partnering closely with the American Red Cross to aid many relief efforts, such as 9-11, the Indian Ocean Earthquake, the Haiti Earthquake, and the Japanese Pacific Earthquake, raising over $200,000 in response to those tragedies.
