Beefing Up Johnny Rockets Presence In California

BPopular Westfield MainPlace Mall Ideal Location for All-American Fare and Dining Ambiance

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Dec. 9, 2013 // PRNewswire // - Twenty-seven years after its flagship restaurant debuted on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, Johnny Rockets continues to sizzle in California, having opened a new restaurant on Wednesday, November 20 at Westfield MainPlace in Santa Ana. This marks the brand's 49th location in the state and seventh in Orange County, where the company's headquarters are located, joining restaurants in Anaheim, Buena Park, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Orange and Laguna Beach.

The new 1,195-square-foot Johnny Rockets offers shoppers and visitors a menu of traditional all-American favorites that include made-to-order hamburgers, hand-spun shakes, classic sandwiches and American Fries, served with their signature ketchup smiley face. Music from the past eight decades, dancing servers and twirled straws add to the atmosphere of relaxed, casual fun. In addition to the restaurant bar seating, the MainPlace Mall location is unique in its plentiful indoor and outdoor patio seating options. Franchise owner, Mike Hashim, worked closely with the MainPlace Mall team to arrange for several 15-minute parking spaces outside the mall's north entrance, offering patrons easy access to Johnny Rockets takeout.

The restaurant incorporates architectural elements from the contemporary design prototype that the company introduced two years ago. Colorful neon signs, red and ivory sleek vinyl upholstery and white subway tile behind the company's trademark open cooking area add a modern, current feel while still reflecting Johnny Rockets timeless ambiance of classic, feel-good Americana.

"Westfield MainPlace is a shopping mecca for people who live and work in Orange County, which makes it an ideal site for a Johnny Rockets restaurant," said Johnny Rockets franchise owner Mike Hashim. "We're the perfect place to grab a premium shake while running errands, or relax with a juicy hamburger after a long day of shopping."

"We're thrilled to open another Johnny Rockets restaurant here in the backyard of our corporate offices" added John Fuller, CEO of Johnny Rockets. "Orange County is a dynamic commercial and residential hub that has embraced our unique combination of flavorful food and friendly service since we opened our first restaurant at the Irvine Spectrum 15 years ago."

The new Westfield MainPlace Johnny Rockets seats 35 guests within the combined interior of the restaurant and indoor patio, as well as 24 guests on its outdoor patio. It is located between JCPenney and Macy's. The restaurant is open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
