Anne Prenner Schmidt Joins Roetzel’s Business Services Group in Chicago

December 13, 2013 - The law firm of Roetzel & Andress, LPA is pleased to announce that Anne Prenner Schmidt has joined the firm's Chicago office as an associate attorney. Ms. Schmidt's practice is focused on executive compensation, employee benefits and ERISA. She advises clients on defined benefit and defined contribution plan compliance, including corrections for plan operational errors through the IRS Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System and the U.S. Department of Labor Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program (VFCP) correction programs.

"We are very excited to continue the growth of our Chicago office and our executive compensation and employee benefits teams with the addition of a great lawyer like Anne."

While attaining her LL.M. in Employee Benefits at The John Marshall Law School, Ms. Schmidt worked for the U.S. Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration, where she focused on fiduciary correction matters, and was responsible for auditing VFCP applications. She earned her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School and her B.A. from Hamilton College. Ms. Schmidt is licensed to practice law in Illinois.
