Sbarro Expands Presence In South America With New Restaurants In Brazil
Leading Italian Eatery Inks Deal with Dubai Comercio e Representacoes to Open Twenty New Locations
MELVILLE, N.Y. - Dec. 19, 2013 // PRNewswire // - Sbarro (www.sbarro.com) announced today that it will continue its international growth through a partnership with Dubai Comercio e Representacoes to open 20 eateries over the next decade in Brazil. The franchise agreement with Dubai Comercio e Representacoes expands Sbarro's footprint in South America, which currently includes eateries in Chile, Colombia and Ecuador, as well as locations launching soon in Peru and Bolivia.
Dubai Comercio e Representacoes master franchisor Walter Vilar will develop and operate Sbarro eateries throughout Brazil and across three states: Goias, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul. This past fall, the company opened its first Sbarro locations in Asa Sul and Premium Outlets Mall, and has plans to open four additional eateries in Goiania in 2014 including a location at the Del Aquas Mall.
