Making A Splash, Johnny Rockets Relocates To The Beach At Grand Sierra Resort & Casino

Poolside Location Offers Guests Additional Options, More Convenience and Mountain Views

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Dec. 20, 2013 // PRNewswire // - Known for its sizzling hamburgers and energetic atmosphere, the first casino-located Johnny Rockets restaurant opened its doors on May 18, 1995 on the casino-level 2nd floor of Reno, Nevada's Grand Sierra Resort & Casino, formerly known as the Reno Hilton. This week, the Johnny Rockets restaurant has moved to a new premiere location inside the casino. As part of the Grand Sierra's $25 million renovation, guests will continue to enjoy Johnny Rocket's delicious meals, timeless ambiance and engaging dining experience from its new and improved spa-level, 1st floor poolside location. The new restaurant opens its doors to the public today, Friday, December 20.

Guests dining at Johnny Rockets in Grand Sierra Resort & Casino can now enjoy the same signature all-American favorites that are identified with the iconic brand by way of indoor seating or on the outdoor poolside patio, with breathtaking views of the Sierras. Hamburgers made to order with 100% all-natural fresh, never frozen beef, American fries served with a ketchup smiley face, hand-spun shakes and other classic entrees are delivered with Johnny Rockets' trademark friendly service.

Situated near crystal-blue waters at the resort's outdoor retreat, The Beach, the new 2,000-plus square-foot Johnny Rockets restaurant location will offer guests a convenient and tasty respite from their casino activities. In addition to the outdoor patio, Johnny Rockets will occupy the 1st floor, which offers a variety of all-ages entertainment options, including Fun Quest family arcade, Grand Sierra Cinema and The Bunker indoor golf.

"Our brand thrives within this type of lively environment because we offer a timeless menu of classic comfort foods in an upbeat atmosphere," said John Fuller, CEO of Johnny Rockets. "The casino attracts a variety of visitors from all over the world and we offer something for everyone. And with the resort's multi-million dollar renovation and our new poolside location, guests will gain an improved experience and easier access to our all-American food and fun."

The 2nd tallest building in Reno with 27 floors and nearly 2,000 guest rooms, the 45-acre Grand Sierra Resort & Casino's current renovation and remodel is resulting in numerous upgrades and additions including renovated suites and guest rooms, a modernized front entrance with a digital panoramic LCD wall and the introduction of Reno's newest, premier ultra-lounge, WET.

Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is located at 2500 East 2nd Street in Reno, Nevada. The new Johnny Rockets location seats approximately 100 people and is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
