January 02, 2014 // Franchising.com // Gaithersburg, MD - Glory Days Grill hosted its 26th annual golf tournament on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Piedmont Club in Haymarket, Virginia. The annual tournament raised $54,039 which is a new record in the tournament’s 25 year history and represents a 4% increase in funds raised year over year. $33,500 has been designated for the tournament's main beneficiary, The Sunshine Foundation, and Glory Days Grill will make an additional $20,539 in contributions to a variety of local charities and foundations in the Washington-Baltimore corridor. This past year’s local charities included the following: Jill’s House; Arundel House of Hope; Heroes, Inc.; Lorton Community Action Center; Life with Cancer; and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
Over the past nine years, more than $356,000 has been raised by this annual golf tournament. During its 18 year history, Glory Days Grill has been recognized for a variety of charitable contributions and fundraising efforts and, most recently, was honored with the 2013 McCormick Cornerstone Award from the Restaurant Association of Maryland as well as a six time winner of the National Restaurant Association’s Restaurant Neighbor Award.
Founded in Fairfax, VA in 1996, Glory Days Grill is a sports-themed family restaurant featuring great food, outstanding service and real-time entertainment.
