Einstein Noah Celebrates New Year with New Smart Choices Menu

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Jan. 2, 2014 - Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, America's fresh-baked bagel leader, is kicking off 2014 with a revitalized 'Smart Choices' menu now available at all Einstein Bros.® Bagels and Noah's New York Bagels® locations nationwide. The menu provides busy on-the-go consumers with healthy, satisfying alternatives to fast food, helping to start their day off on the right foot and to stay energized throughout the day.

The Smart Choices menu features Einstein's new Thintastic BagelsTM, boasting all of the great taste and fresh baked goodness of a regular Einstein bagel, but with 35% fewer calories. Guests can now enjoy the new Thintastic Bagel in three flavors including Plain, Whole Wheat and Everything. You can now enjoy any of Einstein's regular breakfast and lunch sandwiches on the new Thintastic Bagel, including such favorites as:

• Turkey-Sausage & Cheddar
• Southwest Turkey-Sausage & Eggwhite
• Asparagus, Mushroom, Swiss & Eggwhite
• Tasty Turkey
• Tuscan Chicken Pesto
• Thintastic Club

Other nutritious choices include our popular Nova Lox Sandwich which is packed with Omega-3 and 24g of protein for all day energy. In addition, Einstein has introduced a new Greek Yogurt Parfait made with Dannon® Oikos® Greek yogurt. Manhattan Bagel®, which is part of the Einstein Noah's brand portfolio, also will be offering the new Thintastic bagels and sandwiches as part of its Lighter Side menu.

Einstein Noah's Smart Choices menu also features two freshly prepared Gourmet Salads, the Chipotle Chicken Salad and the Harvest Chicken Salad. Restaurants also serve several soups, fresh fruit and low-fat smoothies including Mixed Berry and Strawberry Banana. Each of the satisfying Smart Choices menu items are under 385 calories and less than 15g of fat.

To celebrate the new Thintastic Bagel and Smart Choices menu, Einstein Noah Restaurant Group will ring the opening bell at NASDAQ Marketsite as part of Fit Week on Wednesday, January 8.
