The Dairy Queen® System Names U.S. Foods Northwest as Distributor of the Year

January 04, 2014 // Franchising.com // FIFE, Wash. – U.S. Foods Northwest of Fife, Wash. has been named Distributor of the Year by Unified Supply Chain, Inc. (USCI), a wholly owned subsidiary of International Dairy Queen, Inc. (IDQ).

To become Distributor of the Year a company must receive a superior rating in delivery performance and accuracy with the Dairy Queen® system. U.S. Foods Northwest achieved that based on the monthly statistical reports that all USCI distributors are required to submit. U.S. Foods Northwest and its predecessor company, previous Distributor of the Year Award winner Monte Vista Distributing, have been servicing the DQ® system since 1980.

"U.S. Foods Northwest is recognized for its outstanding customer service and contributions to the success of Dairy Queen and Orange Julius® operators in the Pacific Northwest," said Roger Hubbard, Chief Supply Chain Officer for USCI. "We appreciate the hard work and dedication of the U.S. Foods team in delivering outstanding service and value to the brand, carrying on the standard of excellence established by the Monte Vista operation."

The Distributor of the Year Award is one of several that USCI annually presents to partners who provide superior service and outstanding support to the more than 4,400 Dairy Queen® and DQ Grill & Chill® locations in the United States.
