Gray Plant Mooty Elects Four New Shareholders

(January 3, 2014) - The Minneapolis-based law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that four attorneys - Jeff Bauer, Al Coleman, Julia Offenhauser, and Andrew Steil - have been elected shareholders of the firm, effective January 1, 2014.

Jeff Bauer focuses on advising employers on the complex federal laws governing tax-qualified retirement plans and executive compensation. He advises both public and private companies on tax and fiduciary issues arising in the design, operation, and termination of profit sharing, section 401(k), defined benefit and nonqualified deferred compensation plans. Jeff is also a Certified Public Accountant. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Stetson University and his LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.

Al Coleman primarily focuses on assisting companies with increasing revenues and reducing risks in domestic and international transactions. As a highly regarded and trusted advisor, he provides sophisticated advice and counsel to emerging businesses and established domestic and multi-national companies on a broad range of business and legal issues including commercial transactions, license agreements, and supply and distribution agreements. Prior to joining Gray Plant Mooty, Al served as assistant general counsel and chief corporate attorney for a billion dollar leading financial services firm. He earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.

Julia Offenhauser focuses her practice in the areas of general business law and public bond financing as a member of the Corporate & Business practice group. Before joining Gray Plant Mooty, she worked as an associate with a large law firm in New York City and as a pro bono attorney for the New York Legal Assistance Group. Julia earned her J.D. from the University of St. Thomas Law School.

Andrew Steil concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, banking, and other lending related issues. He frequently advises businesses, lenders, and other creditors on a variety of legal issues relating to litigation, workouts, bankruptcy, and foreclosures. Prior to joining Gray Plant Mooty, Andrew’s practice focused in lending, collections and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. He received his J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law.
