Art Van Furniture to Celebrate Grand Opening of Franchise Locations in Sault Sainte Marie and Marquette

Art Van Furniture Executives And Franchise Partners Will Be On Hand For The Celebrations

WARREN, MI (January 7, 2014) – Art Van Furniture, the Midwest’s No. 1 furniture and mattress retailer, will celebrate the official grand openings of two new franchise locations in the Upper Peninsula with ribbon cutting ceremonies. The ceremonies will take place on Thursday, January 9 at 1:30 p.m. at Art Van Furniture & Erickson Appliance (3889 I-75 Business Spur, Sault Ste Marie) and at 5:30 p.m. at Art Van Furniture & Household Appliance (2873 US Highway 41 W, Marquette). Both Art Van Furniture franchise stores opened its doors to the public on Black Friday.

Art Van Furniture & Erickson Appliance franchisees Keith, Joanne and Don Erickson, and Art Van Furniture & Household Appliance franchisees Steven Anderson and Jeff Palomaki will be in attendance. Kim Yost, CEO of Art Van Furniture, Gary Van Elslander, president of Art Van Furniture and other Art Van Furniture executives will also be in attendance at both ribbon cutting ceremonies.

Art Van Furniture & Erickson Appliance, located in the former Shunk building, is a 24,000 square foot showroom featuring Art Van PureSleep and clearance merchandise. Art Van Furniture & Household Appliance, located at the former site of American TV and Appliance, is a 50,000 square foot showroom featuring furniture, appliances, electronics and flooring.

The new franchise locations have created more than 30 new jobs.
