Franchise Business Review Names Zinga! Frozen Yogurt 2014 Franchise Satisfaction Award Winner

DENVER - Jan. 21, 2014 - Zinga! Frozen Yogurt has been named as one of the Franchise Business Review’s "FBR 50 Awards," an annual ranking of franchise companies based on level of franchisee satisfaction. The prestigious awards are part of a national project that looks at franchisee satisfaction at some of the country’s most popular franchise brands.

Zinga is one of 22 companies to make the list for the first time.

"Our franchisee satisfaction awards recognize the ‘best in franchising' based on the actual feedback of franchisees," said Franchise Business Review president Michelle Rowan. "Nobody knows a brand’s inner workings like their franchisees, so who better to say which franchise opportunities really stand out?"

"The frozen yogurt section is huge with consumers, and there are several franchise brands out there in the space. But not many show up on our list," said Rowan.

The FBR survey includes 33 benchmark questions, relating to the franchisee’s experience and satisfaction as well as market area, business lifestyle, and other demographic characteristics. FBR looks at franchise opportunities from the perspective of a franchisee candidate using both detailed company and industry research applied consistently across all franchises. While the success of any franchise investment is highly dependent on the actions and performance of the individual franchise operator, Franchise Business Review's research focuses on key metrics collected from franchise development directors, management interviews, industry and competitor information, and Franchise Business Review’s own proprietary analysis.

Zinga Frozen Yogurt is self-serve and is sold by the ounce. The typical Zinga store offers a dozen yogurt flavors each day (including fat free and low fat) and more than 50 toppings. Some of the yogurt flavors: Triple Chocolate, Birthday Cake, Blueberry Tart, Café Au Lait, Chocolate Mint, Granny’s Apple Pie, Ooey Gooey Cinnamon Bun. For those who want a dairy free option, there are sorbets such as Mango Tango, Pink Lemonade and Watermelon, to name a few. In addition, a no sugar-added flavor is available. Zinga began offering Greek yogurt in the past year.

All of Zinga’s yogurt flavors meet the National Yogurt Association’s criteria for "live and active culture yogurt." All are 100% dairy along with live cultures, as Zinga never uses any powders for their yogurt.
