VooDoo Makes Franchise Gator's Franchise 100 List

Inaugural List Rates Best Franchises for Single-Unit or First-Time Buyers

PRAIRIEVILLE, LA - (Marketwired - Jan 21, 2014) - VooDoo BBQ & Grill has made Franchise Gator's inaugural Franchise 100 list, a ranking of the top 100 franchise systems that are both currently expanding and considered to be strong buys for potential franchise buyers.

Headquartered in Prairieville, La., VooDoo is a rapidly growing system with more than 50 planned or awarded locations in six states. Franchise Gator is the leading online destination for those seeking to invest in a franchise opportunity.

VooDoo was ranked No. 25 on the list, ahead of such well-known franchises as Molly Maid, Fantastic Sam's and Meineke. Franchise Gator released the rankings for Nos. 11-100 and will release its top 10 picks leading up to the International Franchise Association convention in New Orleans Feb. 22-25.

Franchise Gator's goal in creating the Franchise 100 list is to provide a practical tool for the single-unit or first-time franchisee, who usually can't afford the multi-million dollar investment typical of famous fast-food brands. Criteria used to create the list include information about each franchisor's financial health, profitability, year-over-year growth, market strength and long-term sustainability.

"Our inclusion on Franchise Gator's Franchise 100 list is a timely validation of the quality, affordability and sustainability of our franchise system," said VooDoo BBQ CEO Tony Avila. "VooDoo is growing at an unprecedented rate, not only because there's a high demand for best-in class barbecue franchises, but because the cost of entry into our fast-casual concept is reasonable for the new franchisee."

Eric Bell, General Manager of Franchise Gator, said the inaugural annual ranking should help potential franchisees discover brands they might not otherwise notice.

"Now is a great time to invest in a franchise," said Bell. "We hope this list makes franchise ownership possible for a larger number of people."
