The Dairy Queen® System Brings Newest Treat Concept to the City
PHOENIX - Jan. 13, 2014 - The Dairy Queen® system always has been about sharing smiles and stories. Now the treat category leader and one of the leaders in quick service restaurants has opened its newest, most exciting treat concept, a DQ® Treat store in Phoenix. The location offers all of the amazing Dairy Queen soft-serve treats and cakes as well as Orange Julius® products, including an array of fruit beverages and smoothies. Conveniently located inside of the Walmart at 5250 W. Indian School Road, the 500 square-foot restaurant employs a staff of 12.

"The Dairy Queen system is the world-wide treat leader, and we’ve paired an innovative exciting design with a fabulous selection of cravable treats including all of the Dairy Queen and Orange Julius favorites. The DQ Treat store in Phoenix features DQ favorites such as the iconic Blizzard® Treats, MooLatté® frozen coffee flavored beverages, DQ Cakes and a wide variety of other soft-serve items, as well as the full line of Orange Julius Premium Fruit Smoothies and fruit-blended beverages. All Orange Julius Premium Fruit Smoothies, Light Smoothies and Julius® Original drinks are available in eight flavors including Orange, Strawberry, Strawberry Banana, Tripleberry®, Mango Pineapple, Berry Pomegranate, OrangeBerry and Piña Colada, and protein or banana boosts can be added. The Orange Julius Premium Fruit Smoothies are made fresh to order with real fruit blended with low-fat yogurt. The Orange Julius Light Smoothies are 170 calories or less in a small size, contain no artificial sweeteners or flavors and are yogurt-free.
"We are looking to provide the Phoenix community with a great treat location, from that morning smoothie to the after-the-movie Blizzard Treat," said Connell.
