iLoveKickboxing.com Fitness Franchise Helps Its Members "Shred" Some Pounds and Ex-Partners with "Anti-Valentine’s Day" Event

Kickboxing fitness franchise hosts "anti-Valentine's Day" event where members get to bring in photos of ex-partners, tape them to the punching bag, and let go of some stress and calories.

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 06, 2014 - While many places all over town will set up with heart balloons, "two for one" specials, and pre-fixed meals for couples, iLoveKickboxing.com studios will hold a special event on Valentine's Day fit just for one. It's an "anti-Valentine's Day" event for all the singles ladies and men of the studios. Not only will members "shred" some pounds and fat on February 14th, they'll also get to "shred" their ex's.

"'Shred your Ex' will allow you to punch all of your ex's without being called crazy or getting a new Facebook profile photo taken by your local Police Precinct," said Seth Maynard, Assistant Manager and instructor at the iLoveKickboxing.com studio in New York City.

Throughout all the classes of that Valentine's Day Friday, members of the kickboxing fitness studios all over the country will have the opportunity to tape photos of "old flames" to the kickboxing heavy bags. They'll punch, kick, and land spinning back fists to the photos all in the name of love - or should we say hate?

"We wanted to take the opposite approach and do something for those who don't have a significant other," stated Kelly Murray, the district manager of the New York City and Long Island locations. After discussing various ideas with her studios' managers and some executives from the company, it was decided that doing something different on Valentine's Day was the way to go. "We tell our members all the time to imagine the face of the person that made them mad that day on the heavy bags as they throw their combos. Now they won't have to pretend because the face will be right in front of them."

"Shred Your Ex" is not a singles only event though. Members are also invited to print out photos of their bosses, friends, and anyone they're not all too happy with. If members don't have ill feelings towards anyone, the studios will be printing out random photos the days leading up to the event to draw mustaches and tear in two. They can just borrow some.

"Shred Your Ex" joins a long list of events iLoveKickboxing.com studios host throughout the year. From live DJ events to member mixers and appreciation parties, the fitness franchise is always sure to have something a little special for their members.

"I don't know about you but I'm going to be taking Kickboxing classes on Valentine's Day and so will a lot of other members," Kelly Murray stated. "Let's give them a place to take their anger out, while burning tons of calories along the way."
