CaliBurger To Enter Sweden

February 12, 2014 // Franchising.com // Stockholm - CaliBurger™ announced today that it has signed an agreement to open restaurants in Sweden. The first restaurant is expected to open in Stockholm later this year. The local franchisee operates hotels, ice cream shops, and other QSR chains in Sweden. CaliBurger’s newly formed European regional management team, based in London, will provide ongoing support and assistance to build the brand in Sweden.

With nearly ten million people, Sweden has historically been a strong market for burger concepts. Yet, none of the famous “better burger” brands in America have entered the market. CaliBurger Sweden will develop multiple units in Stockholm before expanding to other cities.
