Congratulations to Joanne Mills for her Women's Council of Realtor Member of the Year Award!

Huntington Station, NY (Grassroots Newswire) February 19, 2014 - EXIT Realty Downstate NY congratulates Joanne Mills for becoming 2013 Women's Council of REALTORS Member of the year.

The Long Island Board of REALTORS® Inc. held their Annual Appreciation and Recognition Luncheon on Wednesday, November 20th, 2013 at the Woodbury Country Club in Woodbury. This event offers the opportunity for LIBOR to recognize Realtor members who have volunteered their time and service in leadership roles during the past year. Joanne Mills from EXIT Realty Premier was awarded the WCR Member of the Year Award, presented by Patricia Lopez Shaffer, 2012 Recipient. The core values of Women's Council are professional credibility, the power of relationships, and leadership all of which Joanne lives up to.

Joanne currently holds the position of President for the Long Island Chapter of the Women Councils of Realtors for 2014, a national network of men and women, dedicated to empowering women to exercise their potential as entrepreneurs and industry leaders. She is committed to the professionalism of the industry and volunteers her time as a committee member on the Education Committee of the Long Island Board of Realtors (LIBOR).

Today, Women's Council is a nationwide community of 12,000 real estate professionals who include many of the best and brightest in the business. The backbone of WCR is its network of more than 300 local and state chapters with volunteer managers trained to position their groups as a business resource in their REALTOR® communities.

Joanne Mills has been a realtor for over 12 years. She specializes in marketing, negotiating, unique sales strategies and social media.

Joanne feels that being a REALTOR is about more than joining professional associations. She believes REALTORS should be involved in the communities where they work as well. Joanne has served as Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Amityville as well as being a present member and is also a member of Bayvillage Civic Association and Amityville Historical Society; she also volunteers her expertise to help with the Marketing/Social Media for many other organizations and local businesses in her home town of Amityville.

Joanne feels that the best path to her success is to help others get what they need to realize their success. Because of her track record of accountability, education, attention to detail, and personal attention, Joanne's clients become customers for life.
