Five Faegre Baker Daniels Attorneys Join Law360 Editorial Advisory Boards

February 24, 2014 // Franchising.com // Faegre Baker Daniels - Brent Auberry, George Mesires, Brenda Robinson, Brian Schnell and Norm Tabler of Faegre Baker Daniels LLP have been named to 2014 editorial advisory boards by Law360.

Auberry, a partner in FaegreBD's Indianapolis office, joins Law360's tax editorial advisory board. He advises commercial and industrial property taxpayers on real property tax assessment appeals, economic development/abatement matters, personal property tax matters and property tax exemptions He represents clients in sales and use, income, gaming and other tax matters before the Indiana Department of Revenue and Tax Court. Auberry is the author and creator of TaxHatchet.com, a blog exploring cutting-edge developments in state and local tax law.

Mesires is a partner who leads FaegreBD's Chicago finance and restructuring team. He will serve on Law360's bankruptcy editorial advisory board. Mesires counsels on finance, corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, distressed mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters. He also advises directors and officers on corporate governance, fiduciary duties and strategic matters. Mesires serves as associate editor for the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association's Chicago/Midwest Chapter and the Commercial Finance Association.

Robinson is an intellectual property partner who represents clients in the music, film, television and sports industries from the firm's Chicago office. She joins Law360's media and entertainment editorial advisory board. Robinson counsels clients on trademark, copyright and other IP matters. She advises entertainment professionals on contract matters, talent and artist management agreements, publishing agreements, screenplay and script review/clearance, and more. Robinson is an associate member of The Recording Academy and other prominent entertainment organizations.

Schnell is a partner in the firm's Minneapolis office and chair of FaegreBD's franchise practice. He has been selected to Law360's hospitality editorial advisory board. Schnell has more than 25 years of experience in franchising and product distribution. He counsels both emerging and mature franchisors in a variety of industries, including many of the leading global hospitality brands. Schnell advises on structuring franchise programs, international expansion, franchise mergers and acquisitions, and more.

Tabler has been added to Law360's health editorial advisory board. As counsel in the firm's Indianapolis office, he advises health care organizations on hospital consolidation, acquisitions, establishment of captive insurers and risk retention groups, hospital conversion to nonprofit status, organization of nonprofit and investor-owned hospitals, and formation of accountable care organizations. He was formerly general counsel for Indiana University Health where he helped oversee significant expansion and established the captive insurance company and risk retention group.
