Wiggin And Dana Announces Chair of Probate Litigation Practice

February 26, 2014 // Franchising.com // New York – Wiggin and Dana is pleased to announce that Steve Malech has been named Chair of the firm's Probate Litigation Practice.

Over the past few years, Steve has represented clients in cutting edge probate litigation matters involving trusts and estates with assets in the hundreds of millions of dollars. He also has represented companies and individuals in a wide variety of business disputes and regularly counsels clients with respect to estate and trust management, litigation and other business issues.

"Steve is a seasoned litigator with a proven track record of success in both probate and commercial litigation matters," comments Bob Benjamin, Chair of the firm's Executive Committee. "Given his breadth of experience and commitment to client service, Steve is the ideal pick to chair the firm's Probate Litigation Practice."

The Probate Litigation Practice is comprised of experienced litigators and trusts and estates attorneys who work together to represent beneficiaries, fiduciaries and creditors in high stakes disputes involving alleged violations of the Prudent Investor Act, breaches of fiduciary duty, disputed accountings, and Will contests.

Steve has given presentations regarding strategies for avoiding disputed accounting proceedings to leading trust companies and financial institutions, as well as to The Heckerling Institute. In addition, he has lectured on conservatorship and other litigation issues pertinent to elder care providers and advocacy groups.
