Bahama Mama's Tanning Salons Convert to Sun Tan City Franchise

Owners Adam and Amanda Tate become Sun Tan City franchisees; same ownership, new options for customers

Newport News and Yorktown, VA – (Feb 25th 2014] – Bahama Mama's Tanning, a chain of two local tanning salons owned by Adam and Amanda Tate, will convert their locations to Sun Tan City on February 25th 2014 as part of a new franchise agreement. Mr. & Mrs. Tate founded the business in 2008, bought the exclusive Sun Tan City franchise rights for the Peninsula area in December of 2013.

Bahama Mama's tanning will remain under the same ownership and management but customers will notice improvements and changes in the store appearance, promotions and additional tanning packages. The switch allows customers the option of using their packages at any of the more than 275 Sun Tan City locations across the country. The salons will also offer more products, improved equipment and a stronger customer service network.

Current Bahama Mama's customers will not see a change in their current pricing plans. Mr. & Mrs. Tate promise current customers they can "stay in their current plans at the current price as long as you remain a customer." All customers will be converted over to Sun Tan City clients on Feb 25th; customers can use their plans at any Sun Tan City location salon nationwide.
