Nixon Peabody Grows IP Litigation Talent in Silicon Valley with Partners Shawn Hansen and Jeff Lokey

February 18, 2014 - Palo Alto, CA - Jeffrey J. Lokey and Shawn G. Hansen are the latest additions to Nixon Peabody's Palo Alto office as the law firm expands its IP litigation talent. Located in the heart of the world's innovation capital, our Palo Alto office represents many of the most dynamic and creative companies.

Based in Nixon Peabody's Palo Alto office, Jeff helps companies stay ahead of the competition while rigorously protecting their business interests. He advises clients on patent litigation and trade secret litigation, as well as general commercial litigation. Additionally, Jeff counsels hedge funds, venture capitalists, and joint ventures in securities disputes.

With offices in Palo Alto and Los Angeles to serve high-technology and media companies from Silicon Valley to Silicon Beach, Shawn brings to Nixon Peabody a successful track record of representing emerging and established companies in complex patent litigation and related matters on a national and global basis. A registered patent attorney, Shawn complements his litigation capabilities with strategic patent counseling and patent prosecution to give clients 360° vision of IP.

Shawn joins Nixon Peabody from Manatt, Phelps & Phillips. Shawn and Jeff worked together for almost 10 years at Manatt where they were both partners. They are excited to work together again. Shawn graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and earned his bachelor's degree in human biology from Brigham Young University.

Jeff, most recently a partner at Greenberg Traurig, earned his J.D. from the University of San Francisco and his B.A. from Claremont McKenna College.
