March 11, 2014 // Franchising.com // Atlanta, GA - Dentons announced that Summer Martin has joined the firm as a partner in its Health Care practice in Atlanta. Martin's addition will further Dentons' strategy to grow its presence in the Southeast, the second largest regional legal market in the United States.
Martin focuses her practice on health law and regulatory compliance for public and private health care facilities and providers, including hospitals and health systems, suppliers and manufacturers, physicians and physician organizations, academic medical centers and managed care organizations.

Martin advises clients on the establishment and implementation of health reform, regulatory compliance initiatives, governmental investigations, subpoenas and False Claims Act actions. She also counsels clients on the structuring of business ventures, acquisitions and dispositions of health care facilities and businesses, professional services agreements, reimbursement and privacy and confidentiality matters. She also has significant experience related to human subject research programs and studies.

Martin is the immediate past chair of the Health Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia and a vice chair of the Fair Market Affinity Group of the American Health Lawyers Association. She provides pro bono counsel to the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network and received the organization's Judicial Advocacy Initiative Award for Excellence in 2012. Martin is a member of the Leadership Council of Be the Match Foundation Georgia Leadership Council.
Martin has been ranked by Chambers USA as one of Georgia's leading lawyers for health care law and as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Georgia. She earned her JD, with distinction, from Emory University School of Law and her MBA and BBA, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia.
