New DQ® Restaurant Opens in Fort Worth

New restaurant serves up Dairy Queen® iconic soft-serve treats, flavorful foods and Orange Julius® offerings

March 6, 2014 - Fort Worth, Texas – The Dairy Queen® system has announced a new Texas DQ® Restaurant’s opening at 8620 N. Beach Street in Fort Worth. The new 3,475 square-foot location has added more than 50 new jobs, contributing to Fort Worth’s employment growth. The new restaurant also will contribute to the state’s restaurant sales, which according to the National Restaurant Association are projected to increase by 5 percent this year.

"We are excited to open a new DQ Restaurant in Fort Worth and welcome the community in to enjoy our full menu of Texas Country Foods®, cool treats and Orange Julius® Premium Fruit Smoothies, Light Smoothies and Julius Original drinks," said restaurant operator Michael Clarke. "This new restaurant is sure to become a location where families and friends can relax and enjoy a great meal and treats."

The Texas Country Foods menu features the quarter- and half-pound Hungr-Buster® Burger made to order with premium flavor options, as well as other delicious and unique food items, including Texas T-Brand Tacos®, Grilled and Crispy Chick'n Sandwiches, Steak Sandwiches and the Chick’n Strip or Steak Finger Country Basket®, which also are available for either lunch or dinner.

Complementing the food on the menu are the traditional and indulgent Dairy Queen soft-serve treats everybody knows and loves. Along with all of the DQ favorites, such as the signature Blizzard® Treats, MooLatté® frozen blended coffee beverages, DQ Cakes and waffle bowl sundaes and cones, fans can choose from a variety of fruit-blended beverages, including delicious Orange Julius Premium Fruit Smoothies, Light Smoothies and Julius Original drinks in eight flavors including Orange, Strawberry, Strawberry Banana, Tripleberry®, Mango Pineapple, Berry Pomegranate, OrangeBerry and Piña Colada. In addition, protein or banana boosts can be added. The Orange Julius Premium Fruit Smoothies are made fresh to order with real fruit blended with low-fat yogurt. The Orange Julius Light Smoothies are 170 calories or less in a small size, contain no artificial sweeteners or flavors and are yogurt free.

The restaurant can seat 72 guests inside, 24 guests outside and also offers a convenient drive-thru window.
