New DQ Grill & Chill® Restaurant Opens in Morgantown/Star City

New restaurant serves up Dairy Queen® iconic soft-serve treats, flavorful foods and Orange Julius® offerings.

STAR CITY, W.V. – March 6, 2014 - The Dairy Queen® system has announced that a new DQ Grill & Chill® restaurant has opened its doors at 2000 Memorial Driver in Morgantown/Star City. The new 2,100 square-foot DQ Grill & Chill restaurant has added 35 new jobs, contributing to Morgantown/Star City’s employment growth. The new restaurant also will contribute to the state’s restaurant sales which, according to the National Restaurant Association, are projected to increase by 2.6 percent this year.

"We are excited to open this DQ Grill & Chill restaurant in Morgantown/Star City and welcome the community in to enjoy our full menu of cravable food items, cool treats and Orange Julius® Premium Fruit Smoothies, Light Smoothies and Julius® Original drinks," said restaurant operator Marshall Bishop "This new restaurant is sure to become a location where fans can gather to enjoy a great meal and treats."

The food menu features the quarter- and half-pound GrillBurgerTM made to order, as well as other delicious and unique food items, including deli-style Iron Grilled Sandwiches. Other menu offerings include Grilled or Crispy Chicken Sandwiches and Salads; Chicken Strip Baskets; Quesadillas and Chili Cheese Dogs.

The DQ system’s value meal, $5 Buck Lunch, is available daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at this location. Fans have a choice of a quarter-pound GrillBurger with cheese, 3-piece Chicken Strip Lunch or a Chili Cheese Dog, which are all served with fries, a beverage and choice of a sundae. For just $1 more, fans also will have the option to upgrade their small sundae to a small Blizzard® Treat. Along with all of the DQ favorites, such as the signature Blizzard Treats, MooLatté® frozen blended coffee beverages, DQ Cakes and waffle bowl sundaes and cones, fans can choose from a variety of Orange Julius fruit-blended beverages. All Orange Julius Premium Fruit Smoothies, Light Smoothies and Julius Original drinks are available in eight flavors including Orange, Strawberry, Strawberry Banana, Tripleberry®, Mango Pineapple, Berry Pomegranate, OrangeBerry and Piña Colada, and protein or banana boosts can be added. The Orange Julius Premium Fruit Smoothies are made fresh to order with real fruit blended with low-fat yogurt. The Orange Julius Light Smoothies are 170 calories or less in a small size, contain no artificial sweeteners or flavors and are yogurt free.

The restaurant can seat 47 guests inside and also offers a convenient drive-thru window.
