TOLEDO, OH - (Marketwired - Apr 2, 2014) - Marco's Pizza, the fastest-growing pizza franchise in the country, ranked No. 8 on the Fast & Serious list, the "Franchise Times" ranking that evaluates franchise companies that are growing quickly and have staying power.
Marco's was founded in 1978, and its growth trajectory has been on an upswing in the past three years. Last year, the franchise system opened 109 restaurants, experiencing a 33% increase in growth. In addition to the "Franchise Times" ranking, Marco's also has been listed at No. 104 on "Entrepreneur's" Franchise 500 and included in Franchise Business Review's Top 200.
"We're really proud of how well our system is doing right now," said Cameron Cummins, Vice President of Franchise Marketing and Recruiting. "Marco's clearly has a lot of appeal for both customers and franchise owners, and we look forward to continuing to serve more customers and helping more people open a great pizza franchise."
"Franchise Times" identified 40 companies as "fast-growing franchise systems that also have staying power" for its Fast & Serious ranking. The rating system factored in percentage and dollar amounts of sales growth, number of units added over the past three years, as well as percentage of growth, giving more weight to growth in years two and three. The magazine chose the companies from a field of 298 franchise systems with more than $40 million in sales.
Marco's attributes its growth and longevity to its dedication to quality, authentic Italian pizza as well as superior systems, support and training programs for franchisees. The franchise system anticipates hitting the 500-store mark later this year.
Prime territories are still available throughout the country. Investors can expect to pay, on average, $350,000 for a Marco's franchise, with a franchise fee of $25,000. For more information about franchise opportunities at Marco's Pizza, go to www.marcosfranchising.com.
