RE/MAX Associates Raise More than $130 Million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals®

Together, Offices and Agents Donate Nearly $8.2 million in 2013

DENVER - April 1, 2014 // PRNewswire // - Sixty-two children enter a Children's Miracle Network hospital for treatment every minute; that's one per second. In support of its mission to help sick and injured children, RE/MAX Associates have donated more than $130 million to longtime charity partner Children's Miracle Network Hospitals® (CMN Hospitals) since 1992.

In the past year alone, RE/MAX offices and agents contributed nearly $8.2 million to help fund life-saving treatments, advanced medical equipment and valuable research and education.

"It's truly inspiring to see what our Associates can accomplish together in an effort to support the 170 CMN hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada," said Mike Reagan, RE/MAX Senior Vice President, Business Alliances. "They believe in going the extra mile for their local communities, and this accomplishment - $8.2 million donated in one year - is an impressive validation of their compassion and dedication."

RE/MAX is the most productive real estate network with more than 93,000 agents in over 95 countries, a global reach larger than any of its competitors. To accommodate the growing interest of helping sick and injured children, the real estate franchisor developed the RE/MAX Miracle Home Program® in 1992. Later, the Miracle Property® program was established for RE/MAX Commercial Practitioners. These programs allow RE/MAX Associates to make a donation to their local CMN Hospital after each property sale or transaction.

In 2012, RE/MAX and CMN Hospitals declared August the RE/MAX Month of Miracles. While donations are made throughout the year, August serves as a reminder to homebuyers and sellers that healthy communities matter to RE/MAX agents.

"RE/MAX has shown incredible support for CMN Hospitals for more than 22 years," said John Lauck, President and CEO, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. "Along with the RE/MAX network's support, our organization has raised more than $320 million in 2013 for the nearly 10 million families in need of funding for live-saving treatments. We're honored to share in this celebration."
