DoubleTree by Hilton Opens New Hotel in Heart of Virginia’s Hampton Roads

Travelers to Fortune 500 Businesses and Military Installations Offered Comfort and Centralized Access at DoubleTree by Hilton Norfolk Airport

April 04, 2014 // Franchising.com // NORFOLK, Va. and MCLEAN, Va. - DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Worldwide announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Norfolk Airport, a 250-room hotel just two miles from Norfolk International Airport in Virginia's busy Hampton Roads region. The hotel, formerly the Hilton Norfolk Airport, is ideally located between Williamsburg and the Virginia Beach oceanfront and is convenient to several key Fortune 500 businesses, leisure destinations including Norfolk Botanical Gardens and Virginia Zoological Park, and Naval Station Norfolk, the largest naval base in the world. The hotel remains within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio and under the ownership and management of Harmony Hospitality, Inc.

Upon arrival, guests will immediately notice a re-designed entrance and lobby featuring wood and marble accents. Travertine floors with carpet insets, an expansive arch and one-of-a-kind industrial art chandelier are indicative of the warmth and comfort found in each guest room and suite. Max & Erma's Restaurant, located on the lobby level, features eclectic American classic menu selections, including juicy gourmet burgers and steaks, artesian beers and spirits, and a relaxed atmosphere for business lunches or evening meals. Additional onsite offerings include a complimentary 24-hour fitness center, indoor swimming pool with whirlpool and a seasonal outdoor swimming pool nestled amid landscaped gardens.

Eleven meeting rooms with contemporary A/V technology, plus the Grand Foyer, total nearly 10,000 square feet of space that can accommodate up to 520 guests for banquets and up to 1,050 for receptions. Also available is a complimentary 24-hour business center, as well as complimentary WiFi access throughout the public areas and guest rooms.
