Fresh Healthy Vending International, Inc. Secures 104 Location Contracts in March for its Franchise Network
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) April 08, 2014 - Fresh Healthy Vending International, Inc.(OTC Markets: VEND), North America’s leading healthy vending franchisor, announces 104 new healthy vending location contracts secured during March 2014, the most locations per month for the company since 2011. Of the 104 locations, 26 are schools, ranging from charter schools, private academies, elementary and high schools, all confirmed for machine installs in the coming months.
Rounding out the first quarter of 2014, the company has solidified agreements with a total of 233 locations, including corporate offices, medical centers, schools, malls and youth organizations.
As part of its franchise and corporate operations programs, Fresh Healthy Vending’s locations department secures installations of its healthy snack machines in prime locations nationwide to then be owned and operated by local franchisees or by the company’s corporate-owned operations division.
"Fresh Healthy Vending is at the top of its game right now, with a very satisfactory month for both franchise sales and vending location contracts in March, and do not intend to slow down any time soon," said Alex Kennedy, CEO of Fresh Healthy Vending. "With July quickly approaching, the effects of the USDA’s snack and nutrition mandates are becoming more of a focus for schools and youth-oriented organizations. We are pleased to be able to provide a solution for those looking to incorporate a healthy vending program that meets these new standards. We’re also seeing a spike in corporate and hospital wellness programs and an overall increase in our society’s strong desire for healthy options to be made readily available outside of the home."
With one-fourth of the March 2014 locations secured being schools, Fresh Healthy Vending will be helping to provide healthier options to students on campuses such as North Dallas High School in Dallas; Shannon Forest Christian School in Greenville, S.C.; St. Timothy’s School in Raleigh, N.C.; Sunrise Academy in Hillard, Ohio; Hongwanji Mission School in Honolulu; Comenius Charter School in Fort Mill, S.C.; Bozman Intermediate School in Conroe, Texas; The Geneva School in Winter Park, Fla., and Boys and Girls High School in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Additional new locations in March 2014 include Peabody Public Library in Columbia City, Ind.; La Plaza Mall in McAllen, Texas; VA Medical Center, Manhattan Campus, in New York City; Tribury Karate and Fitness in Southbury, Conn.; Prestage Foods, Inc. in Saint Pauls – Robeson, N.C.; Bowling Family YMCA in El Paso, Texas; Carnival Day Care Development Center in Mayfield Heights, Ohio; Not Just Dance LLC in Clermont, Fla.; Bravo! Academy for Performing Arts in Boca Raton, Fla. and Comcast – Spotlight Division in Norcross, Ga.
"Now more than ever before, we’re seeing a wider variety of locations, such as malls and recreation centers, seeking out healthy vending as an alternative to junk food machines and we’re proud to be able to provide them with a solution that is convenient for patrons, as well as profitable for our franchisees," said Kennedy. "We believe that this is the year that Americans will see the effects of the healthy vending movement most evident, with healthy options made available to them at multiple touch points throughout their day."
Fresh Healthy Vending offers financial grants to qualified locations around the country that are prepared to provide healthy vending options to their customers. To encourage communities to offer nourishing snacks, the company created FreshandHealthy.org to motivate managers at eligible locations to sign up for free Healthy Vending machines. Fresh Healthy Vending also offers additional monthly financial incentives to keep the healthy machines in the locations it secures.
