Bruster's® Latest Limited-Time Ice Cream is 'To Die For'

New 'Death by Chocolate' Features Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa®

PITTSBURGH - April 08, 2014 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Bruster's Real Ice Cream, named one of America's 10 most popular restaurant chains in a nationwide consumer study, is giving its raving fans something to die for this month: new Death by Chocolate. Each shop's ice cream maker starts with fresh, chocolate ice cream then mixes in Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa, chocolate chunks and chocolate krispies, before stuffing in brownie bits.

At Bruster's Real Ice Cream, new flavors often are created by franchisees. Death by Chocolate originated in Gaithersburg, Md., when manager Bob Bryant started experimenting with anything and everything chocolate in his shop. The decadent creation is served in fresh, homemade waffle cones, sundaes, cups and shakes – but only for a limited time.

April also welcomes the return of Chocolate Raspberry Truffle ice cream to Bruster's rotating menu of at least 25 flavors made fresh daily on-site. Chocolate Raspberry Truffle starts with chocolate ice cream and combines generous amounts of raspberry crinkle and chocolate flakes.

Prices and availability may vary by location.
