6th Annual "RED Day" Set to Lend a Hand in Cherokee County

Woodstock, GA - April 11, 2014 - (PR.com) - Keller Williams Realty associates may be taking the day off from selling Real Estate on May 8, 2014 but it will hardly be a day of rest. Associates with Keller Williams Realty Partners will "Give Where They Live" as part of RED Day, one of the biggest events in the real estate industry.

On May 8th, Keller Williams Cherokee County office will devote the day for RED Day, short for "Renew, Energize and Donate," which was created by Keller Williams Realty Inc. to give back to its communities across the United States and Canada. With 95,000 associates in 700+ offices participating in various volunteer efforts all on the same day.

Keller Williams Realty Partners has selected two projects for 2014. Some of the agents will be hosting an event in Acworth for Oak Grove Elementary’s Literacy Program where they will have a DJ, fun activities and free books for the children. Other agents will put down their phones and pick up tools to build a shade pavilion and picnic tables for Goshen Valley Boys Ranch in Waleska.

"This event is part of Keller Williams Realty’s culture and displays the extraordinary effect a company can have when individuals come together to work as a team for the greater good of everyone. We can’t tell you what an impact it makes on each of us, personally it feels great to give back to the community we know and love," said Team Leader Stephanie Nielsen.

During RED Day 2013, over 50,000 Keller Williams associates participated in activities ranging from food and blood drives to cleaning up trash in public parks, doing yard work for neighbors in need or revamping gardens at nursing homes, totaling more than 190,000 hours of service.
