CD One Price Cleaners Extends Market Reach with Opening of 3 New Franchise Locations in Chicagoland Area

Industry Leading, One Price, Same Day Service Expands to Deerfield, St. Charles and Broadview

WESTCHESTER, Ill. - April 16, 2014 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Suburban Chicago-based CD One Price Cleaners, an industry leader and franchisor in the $9 billion dry cleaning industry, is bringing its successful, value-driven, one price concept to three new markets in the Chicago area. Franchise agreements and store leases have been signed for Deerfield, St. Charles and Broadview, Illinois.

The largest dry cleaning and laundry operator in Chicago, CD One Price Cleaners has 30 franchise and company-operated "superstore" locations in the Chicago area. Since opening its first store in Lincolnwood, Ill. in 2001, the company has offered consumers a deeply discounted, one-price policy for all men’s and women’s garments and a same-day service policy (in by 10 a.m. and out by 5 pm.) at no extra charge.

"The opening of these three new stores strengthens our Chicago area market position," said Tom Ryan, vice president of franchise development for CD One Price Cleaners. "We’ve proven that our single-price concept for laundry and dry cleaning resonates with consumers looking for a better way to clean their clothes."

Aligned with its value-orientated message, customers pay just $2.79 for any dry cleaned and pressed garments and $1.79 for any laundered and pressed shirts, a savings of nearly 60 percent over most independent dry cleaners in the area. With advanced technology that tracks orders and emails customers when their garments are ready for pick up, complimentary gourmet coffee, and an open-air set up that allows customers to see each store’s on-premises cleaning and pressing operations, the company cleaned more than 15 million garments in 2013.

Ryan added, "These new stores will make it more convenient for us to serve the many consumers who have called or sent emails over the past few years asking us to open in these communities."

Ryan said the St. Charles and Deerfield stores will open in 2014, with the Broadview store opening in early 2015.
