Richard Levan Presenting at 17th Annual Federal Securities Law Forum

April 16, 2014 // Franchising.com // Philadelphia – Wiggin and Dana Partner Richard Levan will be speaking at the 17th Annual Federal Securities Law Forum sponsored by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. The forum will take place on Friday, April 25, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the CLE Conference Center in Philadelphia and will be broadcast to the PBI Professional Development Conference Center in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Levan's presentation will provide registrants with a private securities litigation update and will also discuss recent SEC developments and provide a course hypothetical. Mr. Levan has served as a course planner, author and panelist for the Annual Federal Securities Law Forum since its inception. Mr. Levan is a partner in Wiggin and Dana's Investment Management, and White-Collar Defense, Investigations and Corporate Compliance practice groups, in the firm's Philadelphia, Stamford and New York offices. His practice focuses on the legal and compliance needs of investment advisors, broker-dealers and hedge funds, as well as officers and directors of both private and public companies. In addition to his compliance and counseling background, Mr. Levan has over thirty years of experience handling civil and criminal cases initiated by the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, state securities and insurance agencies, and self-regulatory organizations such as FINRA, the New York Stock Exchange, and the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. He was recently appointed to the Editorial Advisory Board for Securities Law360.
