Award-Winning Casual Dining Franchise Kicks Off Anniversary Year with Bucket List Giveaway

April 17, 2014 // Franchising.com // SHARON, PA. - The Award-Winning casual-dining franchise Quaker Steak & Lube®, known for its Best Wings USA and more than 25 sauces, announced today a year-long celebration of the brand's 40th anniversary. The company is commemorating four smokin' hot decades with a national social media promotion, in-restaurant promotions, special menus and a limited edition "throwback" bottle of its popular sauce.

"We are growing aggressively in both new and existing markets while also achieving this incredible milestone of 40 years in business," said Megan Duniec, vice president of marketing, Quaker Steak & Lube®. "There is a lot to celebrate with our fans and franchise owners across the country, including the 50th anniversary of Buffalo Wings. We're going to make it a memorable occasion for everyone to enjoy."

Beginning April 29, fans of The Lube® can enter the brand's sweepstakes on Facebook by sharing their "bucket list." Each week, one winner will be randomly selected to receive free wings for a year or a case of Quaker Steak & Lube® Sauce/Lube Gear. At the end of five weeks, one lucky grand prize winner will receive $4,000 towards their bucket list goal. Fans are also invited to follow the brand on Instagram and tag photos of themselves completing bucket list items using the hashtags #BucketList or #QSL40.

"Turning 40 has a way of making you reflect on where you have been and, more importantly, where you are going," said Duniec. "Quaker Steak & Lube® has much more to do and see in the years ahead, just like our guests. We believe everyone needs a bucket list, and we're excited to help make one lucky fan's goals come true."

In addition, participating locations will feature a limited-time menu of New Lube Plates that will be offered beginning April 29 and features exciting new menu offerings such as a Custom Made Half Chicken Feast, East Bound Mandarin Chicken Salad and a Coop Deville Club.

The anniversary contest fun kicks off at the original Sharon, Pa. restaurant. During the month of April, Lubies will have a chance to register to win a Harley Sportser XL1200v in lucky green. One winner will be announced during the first Bike Nite of the season on April 23 at 101 Chestnut Avenue in Sharon.

The compelling décor, including race cars suspended from the ceilings, motorcycles, Corvettes and motor-themed memorabilia, combined with its craveable food and SuperCharged events, has created a cult-like following for The Lube® for 40 years.
