National Southern Barbecue Franchise Unleashes a Duo of Delectable Dogs for Newest Limited Time Offer
April 25, 2014 // Franchising.com // Jacksonville - Woody's Bar-B-Q® - the national Southern Barbecue chain best known for its slow smoked Signature Baby Back Ribs, Texas Beef Brisket, Carolina Pulled Pork and comfort food sides - is firing up the grill for two new limited time menu offers. Participating restaurants from the sunny shores of Florida to the rolling hills of Utah will "Double Dog Dare" their customers to try a duo of delectable dogs beginning May 1, 2014. The two newest menu items include:
The Sloppy Dog: Woody's starts with a flavorful all beef hot dog, then smothers it in cheddar jack cheese, Sloppy Woody barbecue pork in Woody's secret sauce, and creamy cole slaw – topped with fried onion straws. Patrons will need two hands and lots of napkins to tame this dog!
The Salty Dog: This meat-packing monster may just serve as Man's NEW Best Friend! Woody's takes its all beef hot dog, wraps it in bacon, and tops it with delicious diced BBQ Pork. A triple layer of cheddar jack cheese, pickles and Woody's own Sweet Bar-B-Q sauce serves as the proverbial cherry on top of this sweet, but savory pup.
"The humble hot dog is experiencing a renaissance of sorts – thanks in large part to the food truck craze and imaginative chef-inspired recipes, like ours," explains Tammy Poudrier, Director of Marketing for Woody's Bar-B-Q. "We are really excited to 'unleash' these two new dogs at our restaurants nationwide and expect the response to be highly favorable. If the response is favorable enough, we may even consider making them a regular addition to the family."
