Gold's Gym Signs Largest Non-US Development Agreement In Company History With Australia Deal

Brand Partners with Owner of Leading Sports Nutritional Company Guaranteeing Minimum of 50 Gyms Over the Next 10 Years

DALLAS, April 28, 2014 // PRNewswire // - Gold's Gym, the world's leading authority on health and fitness, has signed an agreement to open a number of new, state-of-the-art gyms in Australia. Signed in the fourth quarter of 2013, this is the largest development agreement outside of the United States in Gold's Gym history.

Committed to opening a minimum of 50 gyms over the next 10 years – including the two pre-existing Gold's Gym locations in Fyshwick and Gungahlin – the brand has partnered with the owners of Aussie Supplements, one of the largest and most recognized sports nutritional companies in the country.

The Fyshwick and Gungahlin locations, which opened in March and June of 2013 respectively, are already proving the strength of Gold's Gym in this region of the world. The deal targets a market in which Gold's Gym is already well-known and well-respected, a testament to the global reach of the brand.

With this precedent set, new locations will have a firm foundation from which to build the brand's presence in Australia for years to come. "The Gold's Gym name is well known throughout Australia.
