Salisbury-Rowan Community Action Agency and Keller Williams Realty Associates Partner to Renew, Energize and Donate

Salisbury-Rowan Community Action Agency's Vass Head Start Center was selected for Keller Williams Realty's RED DAY (Renew, Energize, and Donate) Event.

Salisbury, North Carolina (PRWEB) May 07, 2014 - Keller Williams Associates may be taking the day off on Thursday, May 8, 2014, but it will hardly be a day of rest. Keller Williams Associates at the Pinehurst, NC office have chosen to "Give Where They Live" as part of RED Day, the company's annual day of service, dedicated to renewing, energizing, and donating to their local communities.

As part of this year's RED Day effort, Keller Williams Realty-Pinehurst has chosen to spend the day with Salisbury-Rowan Community Action Agency's (SRCAA) Vass Head Start Center located at 272 Seaboard Street, Vass, NC at 8:00 am on May 8, 2014. SRCAA's Vass Center offers early childhood education (Head Start) and family services to thirty children and families. The Head Start Program provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and their families.

"RED Day is built on the belief that people can and should come together to achieve extraordinary things to help others," said Committee Chair, Angela Thomspon. We all know that filling all the gaps in our communities can't be accomplished by serving just once a year. RED Day just happens to be the one-day expression of the constant state of the Keller Williams culture. We see a need, discover who can meet it and get it done."

"The Red Day event was initially presented to us by The Cypress House Center for Children. Once we heard about what Keller Williams Realty wanted to do, we jumped on board immediately. Red Day is a tremendous opportunity to invest in our communities." said Stan Wilson, Executive Director, SRCAA. As part of the Red Day event Keller Williams will provide volunteers, new computers, tables, chairs and toys. In addition the building will be renovated and the landscaping will be improved.

Since the first RED Day in 2009, Keller Williams associates have given almost a half million hours of community service through activities ranging from food and blood drives to cleaning up trash in public parks, revamping gardens at nursing homes and rebuilding homes and schools for community members in need. To this day, it is one of the largest events in the real estate industry.
