An Oil Change During Mother's Day Weekend Helps Someone with MS

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA - (Marketwired - May 7, 2014) - This weekend, Canadians can take the front seat in helping the 100,000 Canadians who live with multiple sclerosis. From May 9 to May 11, Mr. Lube Canada will donate $2 from every oil change performed at any Mr. Lube location across the country as part of "Mr. Lube Ending MS", a campaign to increase awareness of MS and raise funds to support people affected by the disease.

Since 2007, Mr. Lube has hosted the campaign and raised more than $350,000 towards MS research, programs and services for people with MS. The campaign is in honour of Mr. Lube pioneer Cliff Giese, whose wife was diagnosed with MS in 1977.

"Many Canadians don't know that Canada has the highest rate of multiple sclerosis in the world. Together with Mr. Lube we are increasing awareness about MS and raising funds to support families impacted by the disease," says Yves Savoie, president and CEO of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. "We are honoured and grateful that Mr. Lube employees and customers are committed to ending MS.

"Through the Mr. Lube Ending MS campaign, our organization honours Cliff Giese's dedication to helping people touched by this devastating disease," says Stuart Suls, president and CEO of Mr. Lube Canada. "Mr. Lube Canada continues to be a national partner of the MS Society of Canada to carry on Giese's legacy. We invite Canadians to visit Mr. Lube on Friday, May 9th to Sunday May 11th as a way to support people living with MS."
